our family holiday in carnforth was truly amazing, but our stay at ellers farm cottage made it even more special. the cottage was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed. we appreciated the maps and walking book, as well as the interesting shaped eggs. the location was perfect for exploring the lake district peninsulas and southern lakes.
A freezer would've been great for longer stays.

I recently stayed at a lovely cottage surrounded by a working farm. The owners, Alison and Richard, were incredibly welcoming and made sure that everything we needed was provided. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside and taking a scenic walk along the river to the nearby village of Crooklands. With the convenience of being close to the M6, it was easy to venture out to other local attractions. I highly recommend this charming cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
One small drawback was that the sat nav initially led us to the wrong location. However, Alison promptly messaged us with detailed directions, ensuring that we found the property without any further issues.

It had all the amenities we needed and the owners were very helpful. We especially loved the fresh eggs and the pet-friendly amenities provided. The surrounding area had great pubs, shops, and walking trails. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting!

The cottage was warm and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the maps and walking book provided, as well as the interestingly shaped and sized eggs.- The location was great for visiting the Lake District peninsulas and the southern part of the lakes.
It was a bit tricky to find the cottage, but a phone call to the host helped guide us in. The mattress was too soft for our preference.

While finding the cottage initially might be a bit tricky, a quick phone call to Alison will guide you in the right direction. the mattress in one of the rooms could have been more comfortable, as it had a soft feel with noticeable springs.

The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a self-contained stay. Despite its proximity to the motorway, there was no traffic noise to be heard. The hostess was warm and friendly, even giving us some tasty eggs to enjoy. Plus, the location of the cottage was ideal, with easy access to the M6 motorway and nearby attractions such as the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
The bed in one of the bedrooms was incredibly creaky and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The outside space was also disappointingly small and the furniture could use some attention.
